Nhlanhla (Lucky) grew up in Durban, South Africa and from an early age was involved in the Performing Arts.
With Extensive world tours as a backing vocalist for many well known South African singers and bands. His music has seen him singing with some of the world’s most popular artists such as Simply Red & Billy Ocean.
Lucky was a dancer with the Soweto Dance Company and Imbimba Dance Company in South Africa in the 1990’s before moving to Sydney and collaborating with other South African dancers and artists.
His band Jive Kayana, one of the only groups in Australia performing traditional Township Jive, have been a popular addition to many festivals around the country including South African Freedom Day in Hyde Park and with Angelique Kidjo on her recent Australian tour.
