Rowan has been acting steadily in a range of roles on stage and screen since he was young. Some of his film and TV credits include Underbelly, Home and Away, The Matrix, The Escape of The Artful Dodger, Little Blue, Somewhere in the Darkness, The Gruen Transfer, Jon Hewitt’s thriller, X, Anne Fontaine’s Two Mothers and over 25 national and international commercials. It’s a little known fact that Rowan was also short-listed for the role of Harry Potter and was the only Australian actor to be flown to England to screen-test for the role with four other boys.
A graduate from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music where he majored in Classical Voice; some recent, theatre credits include Leaf Coneybear in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Gussie Fink-Nottle in the Sydney premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s By Jeeves, and principal soloist in A Night on The West End and in Best of Broadway. He headlined David Miller’s Great Southern Tour, played Papageno in the National Youth Opera’s The Magic Flute, and was a special guest member of The Song Company during The Stockhausen Festival. He has also sung on the soundtracks to Happy Feet 2 and Moulin Rouge.
As well as being a proud member of Equity, Rowan has also recently become an industry member of the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA).
