Rowan’s film and TV credits include Underbelly, Home and Away, The Escape of The Artful Dodger, The Matrix, Little Blue, Somewhere in the Darkness, Jon Hewitt’s thriller, X: Night of Vengeance, The Gruen Transfer, and over 20 national and international commercials.
Rowan was also short-listed for the role of Harry Potter in the series of films, and was the only Australian actor to be flown to England to screen-test for the role with four other boys.
Rowan’s recent stage credits include Leaf Coneybear in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee; principal soloist in A Night on the West End, the Slide cabaret Vive La France, and Con Brio: A Collection of Italian Songs and Arias for the Leichhardt Festival. He has also performed in four operas with the Conservatorium Opera and sang on the soundtrack of Moulin Rouge and Happy Feet 2.
Other credits include touring with pianist David Miller on his Great Southern Tour; performing as a guest member of The Song Company during the Stockhausen Festival; and playing Gussie Fink-Nottle in the Sydney premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s By Jeeves. Rowan’s OA credits include Second Boy in Mozart’s Die Zauberflote, Miles’ understudy in Britten’s Turn of The Screw, and performances in The Moffat Oxenbould Gala, Summer Of The Seventeenth Doll and Tosca.
Rowan recently graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music Performance (Majoring in Voice) under the expert tutelage of Anke Höppner.
